recent works!
I wanted something that was in-between a plushie and a pillow- something extra cuddly and yet still had a lot of details for the characters!
This is my process for making the first one, which is the simplest with button eyes and no paw pads, and how I used scrap fabric to design the base pattern to make it. They are based on my character Zephyr! This was done in August 2025.
In July 2025 I created an extra large tail piece and monster style hand paws to wear for fursuit walks during the summer months- and to match a fluffy night fury hat a friend made me!
Created over the summer of 2025, I made my first ever in a decade fursuit head for a character designed for this process- pocket! The only thing that I outsourced for the design was getting the eye art sublimation printed and the 3-d printed eye blanks, all other work is my own! They feature a pickable nose, removable velcro tongue, magnet eyelids, and a soft lycra lined interior, with added secret pockets behind and just under the ears for potential future fan installation.
In September 2025 I took it upon myself to upscale the dragon plushie pattern, and make a different head shape with some more accessories and applique eyes and pawpads. This plushie also has weighted beans in the paws, head, and belly, making them extra throwable. This design was based off of a pillow prototype I made 5 years ago that was tube shaped and deserved to be retired.
These are roughly based off of the wonderful RunnerRabbit's Handpaw Pattern with edits
to the finger box specifically to add more padding for my tiny hands and also change the material of the fingers
from fur to minky, along with having each finger as different colors.
Since these were my first shot at it I defnitely have plans to re-do them at some point, especially hoping for a
wider cuff material one day!
Created in October 2025, this is my most complex dragon plushie so far- featuring a scaled belly, scaled legs with applique style, stuffed pawpads, claws on the feet, wings, and weighted paws, head, and belly, this project took me two days to complete and was my favorite to make so far!
Also created in October 2025, this tail features a carved foam base with some wiggle joints to it, and hidden belt loop attachment, along with hand-sewn applique style cutaway details on the end! It also has added sewn-on button details to match the rest of the design of Pocket.
